Avarice and Diffidence: The Begnion Senate

The Begnion Senate has struggled and squirmed its way out of enough loopholes. The bastards must pay for their crimes. And it turns out there's a lot one can glean from them in their final lines.

Radiant Dawn Endgame Part 1: Corruption

It's almost like you can hear the goddess, if you listen hard enough. Although I will say this tower looks a lot bigger from the inside.

Especially since we have to climb all of it. Well, the characters do. We, the player, only need to worry about four floors. I don't know how many floors the tower has, and presumably it's folly to pretend counting them has purpose.

Four of Tellius's greatest threats gathered under one holy roof.

Radiant Dawn Endgame Preparations: Crime against the goddess

Everyone is here in Sienne at last!

So much for that story. "All myths are true" means everything comes to life, not that everything does what it says in the myth.

That's an interesting thing to teach a child. You've got your ABCs, the fact fire is hot, and the fact no one is allowed in that tower.

I find it interesting that they use a hitherto-unseen colour for Ashera's tower in this final map scene.

That's a map title that has one major purpose. But Endgame is going to be a lot more than a single word.

RD Chapter 4-5 Battle: Claw your way to victory

We have another marshy map, filled with Feral Ones to put to rest. And in the centre of it all..

The madman Izuka.

Here's our deranged lunatic, holding the SS Dark tome Balberith. That +3 Strength bonus is thanks to it. His Speed is low enough that pretty much everyone with prospects can double him, but his Resistance is huge. His Defence is pretty bleh, but his HP is enough that it might take something more than a stiff breeze to deal with him. That's a huge 53 Atk to worry about, too. And yes, he will use that Rewarp staff if he feels like it.

Izuka also has the Flare skill, so you know, either have more than 53 HP, pack Nihil or tread cautiously.

One Authority star, too. Somehow.

The Summoner class is unique to Izuka within the world of Tellius, but it is not exclusive to it. Summoners first appeared in Sacred Stones, where they possessed the same capabilities listed here- Dark Magic, Staves and "Summoning". Sacred Stones Summoners could summon Phantoms, creatures with 1 hit point that were basically as disposable as FE9 Tanith's Holy Guard- one at a time could be placed, but it was infinitely respawnable. Izuka's Summon works differently, as we'll see.

RD Chapter 4-5 Preparations: About time you showed up

Welcome to the Salmo region! The fact the region is highlighted here is why I suspect the seventh Senator is from Salmo. That Senator would either be Numida or the unnamed fellow I've been calling Seliora, and we're not fighting either today.

Well, that's very nice, but Tibarn/Elincia doesn't seem like a pairing to worry about that. I guess Reyson, probably, but the Daeins would be impressive.

The Daein in this army isn't impressed. World peace isn't that easy.

Pelleas's thought is detached, since he's killable, but he's also worried about things other than what Almedha is worried about. Or maybe they are worried about the same things. Definitely in different ways.

All right, who do we know that is completely unforgivable...

RD Chapter 4-4 Battle: Defining the Good Guy

Today's map is an indoor map, going up through a house with treasure chests. Remind me, how many treasure chests and doors have we bumped into in this game? I really feel like they've been at a premium.

...You've gotta be kidding me.

How? This is some cosmic joke on the writer's part. I wondered who was filling his seat, though.

Oh, and just next to him is Hetzel.

He doesn't look like he'll be here long.

RD Chapter 4-4 Preparations: A rainy day

Ike's still chewing on the massive bombshells the last few chapters have been throwing at him. He's got more to go coming up. There's a reason he's not a King.

If nothing else, they'll be there because that's where the final boss is.

This isn't setting up for a "Ike does something rash" thing. We don't really have the room in the story for a character arc in Part 4, it's almost all plot here.

Near the capital? Now I'm positive the map the narrator is looking at is not the same as the one we are.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn to bring you Fire Emblem: Fates!
